Lena

Wanderbar Expert & Culture Lover

Lena's curiosity is her compass. The Augsburg native has been drawn in all directions: via Konstanz, London, Berlin and Munich, she finally moved beyond the mountains to beautiful Tyrol, where she has found her home port in Innsbruck.

Lena's career path is just as varied as her places of residence. The trained philologist worked for a while as an extra and set designer in film – to this day she loves entertaining fans of the German crime series Tatort with anecdotes from her time in front of and behind the camera. As a qualified bartender, she is also happy to serve her companions a fine espresso martini on the summit. She eventually found her true calling as a secondary school teacher and shared her enthusiasm for the English and German languages with young people of all ages – whether they wanted it or not.

Then came the big trip around the world with the whole family – and with it the desire for something new. Back in Tyrol, Lena used her fresh start for a change of career and turned her passion for travel and the mountains into her profession. At Silvertip Tours, she is now responsible for our Wanderbar trips and supports schools as their direct contact person for school trips. Her experience in the classroom is just as valuable here as her own travel experiences around the world.

Besides breathtaking mountain panoramas, Lena spends her free time eagerly exploring the local cultural scene. Whether poetry slam, jam session, theatre or opera – a little bit of everything is welcome. Her heart beats fastest to the rhythm of rock music. Much to her own regret, she can only sing loudly and off-key, but she has been on stage acting in the theatre since childhood. So if you don't happen to meet her at Silvertip, you might find her at the next Shakespeare evening.
