On a full-day game drive you discover elephants, giraffes, wildebeest and various antelope species such as eland, kudu, kongoni and impala. In addition, around 30,000 plains zebras as well as buffalo, leopards and rhinos roam the area.

Days 7–9
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti Bush Camp
On the drive to your accommodation in the Serengeti for the next 3 nights, the origin of the name Serengeti becomes impressively clear: it derives from the Maasai word Siringitu and means "the endless plain". The whole time is available for game viewing in the Serengeti. Depending on the season, you can also watch the great migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras. Usually these herds move during the short rains in October and November from Kenya's Masai Mara through the northern Serengeti to the plains in the south. After the long rains in April, May and June, the herds slowly move back through the western and north-western Serengeti. Fluctuations in rainfall can shift this timetable, however, and the animals may be in other areas. Your guide knows where the animals are and will take you to the best viewing spots. To give you the best possible safari experience, your accommodation on these days follows the migration: December to March: 1 night Serengeti Bush Camp, 2 nights Ndutu Bush Camp, April to May: 3 nights Serengeti Bush Camp June to mid-November: 2 nights Mara River Mobile Camp, 1 night Serengeti Bush Camp Mid-November to December: 3 nights Serengeti Bush Camp.
