Overview
On this tour with a maximum of twelve guests you go on safari in Arusha and Tarangire national parks, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater – by 4x4 and on foot. Add a hot-air balloon ride, a hike in Maasai country and relaxing days on the beach in Zanzibar.
It's not often you book one holiday and get three. But in Tanzania, it's possible: one for our safaris in Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti World Heritage Site, and the Ngorongoro Crater, home to 25,000 animals. One for moonlit nights in the camps of the wilderness, which never sleeps. And a third, truly special one: on the most beautiful, snug sandy beach of the spice island of Zanzibar, pampered under palm trees at the AQUA Beach Resort & Spa. Look forward to safaris by 4x4 and on foot, seeing the Big Five in the Serengeti and the wildlife paradise of the Ngorongoro Crater. You'll arrive at Hatari Lodge, visit the Mwema Street Children's Center, and end your trip relaxing at the AQUA Beach Resort & Spa in Zanzibar. The Serengeti awaits you with endless savannahs and vast herds of wildlife. You'll go on safari in the early morning and afternoon, when the chances of spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and buffalo are greatest. In between, you'll have time to relax at your lodge.

Day 4
Tarangire National Park: Elephants and baobab trees guaranteed
Highview Coffee Lodge
approx. 250 km
Today you'll travel through Maasai country: with a bit of luck, you'll pass a weekly market and be able to observe the vibrant activity. Around midday, you'll reach Tarangire National Park with its impressive baobab trees and large herds of elephants. The heart of the park is the Tarangire River, which also attracts warthogs, zebras, buffalo, waterbuck, and lions. After a game drive through the park with time for wildlife viewing, you'll continue towards Karatu to your accommodation. To end the day, a fantastic view awaits you: coffee plants as far as the eye can see! A snack to stave off hunger at Hatari Lodge consists of tea, coffee, and biscuits. Breakfast will be served today by the wonderful women of the "Wondergarden" initiative. Picnic lunch and dinner are included in the price. At the Wondergarden women's initiative, which is actively supported by the owners of Hatari Lodge, you'll learn about alternative cultivation methods, fertilizers, pesticides, and the various types of vegetables, roots, and fruits. The local women possess a wealth of knowledge about the benefits, properties, and uses of each plant, which they are eager to share with you. Highview Coffee Lodge: Perched on a hilltop in Karatu, the Highview Coffee Lodge is nestled within a large garden and sprawling plantation. The theme of coffee is subtly present throughout, even in the velvety dark brown of the furnishings. Four bungalows each offer two rooms, private terraces, and stunning views across the fertile farmland. Relax and soak in the panorama. And if time allows, indulge in a massage at the spa before ending the day with a cup of coffee or a cocktail at the pool bar.

AQUA Beach Resort & Spa
approx. 60 km
After breakfast, we'll begin with a walking tour of the historic old town, experiencing its culture, daily life, and bustling market. Afterwards, you'll leave the city and head towards the east coast. But first, a stroll through the village of Mangapwani awaits, offering a glimpse into the daily lives of the locals. A short spice tour will bring back many of the aromas reminiscent of home cooking. From there, it's just a short distance to the golden beaches and your comfortable accommodation on the east coast. The included meals consist of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some of the villagers of Mangapwani will prepare a traditional lunch for you. Your local hosts live in typical, and by our standards, very simple conditions. Food is served traditionally, and it's customary to eat with your fingers. Of course, cutlery will be provided upon request. Your hosts won't mind and will always strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Your visit will make a small contribution to improving the local way of life, as it provides your hosts with a small additional income. Please note that during Ramadan, the traditional lunch cannot be eaten at the family's home, and you will instead have lunch at a restaurant. AQUA Beach Resort & Spa: Located on Zanzibar's most beautiful stretch of coastline, the AQUA Beach Resort & Spa is a barefoot oasis. The ever-helpful hosts are ready to pamper your body and soul in the spa, infinity pool, ten palm-thatched villas (each with two deluxe rooms), and four beachfront villas. At the open-view restaurant on the palm-fringed beach, visual and culinary delights merge into those special moments when everything is simply perfect.
