In the Vierli area the trails start right outside your door – with around 80 kilometres of forest trails and 70 kilometres of high-mountain routes. You arrive by car on the ferry and stay self-catering.

In the morning, the Fjord Line ferry leaves the port of Hirtshals. The crossing to Kristiansand in Norway takes just under 4 hours. You then drive to the idyllic ski resort of Rauland at the foot of the Hardangervidda and move into your apartment for the next 7 nights.

Rauland is one of the largest winter destinations in the Telemark region. First-class skiing awaits the whole family here in a snow-sure mountain area. Rauland ski centre comprises three areas: Tiur and Holtardalen offer 11 lifts and 25 slopes, the longest run being 3.4 km, and you can also access the cross-country trails from here. Vierli, on the other hand, with a children's lift and a children's slope, is designed especially for younger guests and, with 80 kilometres of forest trails and 70 kilometres of high-mountain routes, is also a paradise for cross-country skiers. Shops can be found in the centre of Rauland, about 6 km away.

Rauland – Kristiansand, crossing to Hirtshals and journey home

You set off for Kristiansand in good time. From there, the ferry takes you back to Hirtshals in the early afternoon, where you arrive in the evening and begin your individual journey home.

Accommodation: Rugdetunet Appartment L6, approx. 54 m²
These apartments, built in 2018, are located in the Tiur area, on the access road to Holterdalen. Each of the two bedrooms is equipped with a family bunk bed whose lower bed is 1.20 m or 1.40 m wide. After a day on the slopes or the nearby cross-country trails, you can relax in the sauna.
Accommodation: Tiurtunet Appartment, approx. 54 m²
Cosy, traditionally furnished apartments with an ideal ski-in/ski-out location in the Tiur area of Rauland Skisenter. Just a few metres separate you from the ski rental, ski school, lifts and slopes, and the access to the cross-country trails is very close by.

Modern apartments with a ski-in/ski-out location in the Holtardalen area of Rauland Skisenter. Just a few metres separate you from the lifts, slopes and nearby cross-country trails. Restaurants and shops are about 5 km away.
