Overview
In the Wildschönau you combine the Zurich Resource Model (ZRM®), a science-based method for self-management, with hikes among gentle grassy mountains. Three days of seminar and hiking with stages of up to 12 km, time to reflect and clear goals for everyday life.
This hiking seminar will take us to the beautiful Wildschönau in Tyrol. The Zurich Resource Model [ZRM®] is a scientifically based method for strengthening self-management – developed by Frank Krause and Maja Storch. With a clear goal in mind and supported by neuroscientific findings, ZRM® helps build sustainable action skills. What makes this seminar special? The combination of mental work and physical activity in nature. We hike in the Wildschönau region, amidst gentle grassy mountains, idyllic alpine huts, and the diverse mountain landscape. The hiking routes – with distances of up to 12 kilometers and elevation gains of up to 700 meters – are challenging but manageable, supporting the process of personal development, offering impressive nature experiences, and giving us the opportunity to take the impressions from the seminar with us into nature and process them. Our accommodation is a wonderful Tyrolean farmhouse where the seminar takes place and we are self-catering. It is possible to share a double room or sleep in the dormitory.

Days 2–4
ZRM seminar and hiking days
holiday home
After a breakfast prepared together, we will start in the seminar room with a 60- to 120-minute learning session. Our hikes take us into the surrounding area during the day: to mountain huts, to summits, or simply through the beautiful landscape. Hiking provides time for reflection, discussion, conversation, and contemplation. The hikes have a maximum length of 12 kilometers, up to 700 meters of elevation gain, and a walking time of up to 4.5 hours. Upon returning, there will be another seminar session, either before or after the self-prepared dinner. And if the weather is nice, nothing stands in the way of sitting together around a campfire.

Culture / nature
Nature-led
Our seminar hiking week in this wonderful region is easily manageable for healthy people with a normal level of fitness. We will be hiking primarily on established paths and well-marked trails. A hiking fitness level of up to 12 kilometers, a maximum of 700 meters of elevation gain, and 4.5 hours is required to complete the three daily mountain hikes without difficulty and fully enjoy nature.
The difficulty level of our hikes is rated as "moderate." It's important that you already have experience with hikes lasting several hours in low mountain ranges at altitudes of around 1,800 meters. The maximum hiking time per day, without breaks, is approximately 4.5 hours. Some hikes require a bit more skill, as they involve steeper descents over uneven terrain. We recommend using hiking poles on these sections.
Should you feel the need to skip a stage of the hike, you can easily take a "rest day" at the accommodation to relax or enjoy other activities.
Our experienced mountain guides reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary in the event of unforeseen weather conditions to ensure the safety of the group and individuals. Furthermore, participants who lack the necessary physical fitness or appropriate equipment may be excluded from individual stages or the entire trip for safety reasons. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

Notes on the trip
Additional nights before and after the hiking week
Upon request, we also offer additional overnight stays before or after the hiking week (subject to availability). We recommend extending your stay in the beautiful surroundings of Wildschönau or Brixental. This will give you the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the diverse activities the region has to offer at your leisure!
Program adjustments depending on weather conditions
The safety of our participants is our top priority on our active tours. Since we often travel in alpine or remote regions, weather conditions such as strong winds, fog, persistent rain or snowfall, as well as other unforeseen circumstances, can affect the execution of the planned route. In such cases, our experienced local guide will react flexibly and adjust the route or program accordingly to ensure the safety of everyone involved. These decisions are always made in the best interests of all participants, so that the tour remains safe and as enjoyable as possible. Any claims for compensation are excluded in such cases.
Parking during the hiking week
You can park directly opposite our holiday home in Wildschönau/Mühltal.
Minimum number of participants
Should the minimum number of participants (9 people) not be reached, we will offer you an alternative date or free cancellation of the trip no later than 3 months before the start of the trip.
Four-legged friends
Unfortunately, our four-legged friends have to stay home during this hiking week.
