Gesa has been working in tourism since her training as a travel agent in 2007 and discovered her passion for travel early on. After her studies in tourism management, she went on a world trip for six months in 2012. During this time, she traveled through Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Canada – an adventure that would shape her forever.

After returning from her big trip, Gesa decided to turn her back on her hometown Hamburg and move to Austria, where she could live out her passion for the mountains in Tyrol.

The region is the perfect place for her to enjoy both physical activities and time in nature Whether with mountain bike, gravel bike, snowboard, or cross-country skis – in Tyrol, she always finds new ways to live out her athletic passion. The mountains are the ideal balance to office work for her.

Despite the opportunities that Tyrol offers all outdoor fans, Gesa has never lost her wanderlust. On the contrary: After every trip, she returns with new ideas and inspirations. Variety is particularly important to her – whether backpacking in South America or Southeast Asia, hiking in Iceland or the Cape Verde Islands, bikepacking through France or mountain biking in Scotland, or culinary discovery trips in Japan or Georgia. Besides her wanderlust, Gesa is also a great lover of culinary arts. Cooking is a way for her to really switch off and let her creativity run free. On her travels, she discovers new spices and ingredients that she brings home to inspire friends and family with the cuisine of distant countries. She even proved her skills in the cooking show 'Die Küchenschlacht' – an exciting experience that cost her more courage than traveling alone.

Because that's exactly what drives Gesa: Being on the road alone, experiencing new cultures, and expanding her boundaries – that gives her a lot of energy. And who knows where she will travel next.
