Overview

This private trip takes you into unspoilt regions of Uganda. From Jinja you head to waterfall hikes and a coffee experience at Sipi Falls, a hike on Mount Moroto with a visit to the Tepeth, encounters with the peoples of Karamoja and safaris in little-known Kidepo Valley National Park.

Travel with us to the untouched regions of Uganda and immerse yourself in the country's cultures. Eastern and northern Uganda offer breathtaking experiences – from waterfall hikes at Sipi Falls to authentic cultural encounters with the fascinating tribes of Karamoja. Combined with wildlife safaris in the still almost undiscovered Kidepo Valley National Park, you gain unforgettable impressions on this trip through Uganda off the beaten track. This private trip for two or more people with your own English-speaking driver – with a German-speaking guide on request – takes you to the source of the Nile, to Sipi Falls and up Mount Moroto. You meet the Tepeth and Karamojong over a local lunch and traditional coffee roasting, go on a bush walk in Kidepo Valley National Park and stay in comfortable, sustainable lodges and camps with wonderful views. This trip supports local communities. A significant part of the trip is run by the Kara-Tunga organisation, which has teamed up with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to, among other things, supply Moroto with fresh food. Moroto lies in a hard-to-reach area of Uganda, and most fresh food is imported from distant towns. To reduce dependencies and transport, the local population is being trained with the help of GIZ in growing food and recycling green waste through composting.
