The ever-changing perspectives of the majestic mountain are breathtaking. Don't hesitate to ask your guide questions about the meaning of pilgrimage. Today's destination is Drirapuk Monastery at 5,080 meters, which offers one of the best views of Mount Kailash. Here, you're practically within reach of the holy mountain. The overnight stay in the monastery's simple guesthouse is basic but filled with peace and spirituality. Dinner consists of traditional instant noodles – exactly what Tibetan pilgrims eat. (B/D)
