Overview

On this tour with a maximum of twelve guests and a local guide, the dunes of Sossusvlei, ancient dead trees in Deadvlei and nights under a vast starry sky await you. Add a scenic flight over the desert, a catamaran trip near Swakopmund and five safaris, including in Etosha National Park.

Almost two weeks dominated by a breathtaking desert landscape. By colors that exist in no paintbox. By the world's highest dune in the Sossusvlei sand sea. By trees that have been dreamily dead for 500 years. By the oldest ethnic group in the world. By a piece of dubious history at Café Anton. By the big game parade in Etosha National Park. By the daily soap opera as the sun bids farewell. By the night of nights under 300 million lights. Look forward to five diverse safaris, a dune climb in Sossusvlei, and a night under the stars at the Namib Dune Star Camp. You'll make a fire with the San people, stroll through the coastal town of Swakopmund, and visit the Penduka social project. You'll never forget this night: At the Namib Dune Star Camp, you can roll your bed out onto the terrace and snuggle into your blanket under the vast starry Namib sky. When your coffee is brought to you in bed in the morning, you'll think you're still dreaming.

    Onjala Lodge Lodge-Zimmer

    approx. 380 km

After a leisurely breakfast, we'll travel past picturesque hills through the communal farmland of the Herero people in the Otjozondjupa region, back to the central Namibian highlands. We promise you stunning scenery, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious food. Breakfast and dinner are included. Upon arrival on Onjala, your tour guide will say goodbye. For the next two days, Zelda and Heiner Soltau, along with their team, will take care of you. Onjala Lodge Lodge Rooms: Onjala Lodge, managed by Heiner Soltau, is imaginatively and seamlessly integrated into a 4,700-hectare nature reserve, offering free rein to mountain zebras, giraffes, ostriches, kudus, and other members of the antelope family. In the main building, the balconies of the eleven lodge rooms overlook the vast plains and small mountain formations typical of the Namibian landscape. A hiking trail, cozy seating areas, refreshing pools, and Zelda Soltau's revitalizing steam showers, massages, and treatments at the ZenSations Spa complete your stay. Onjala also includes the Onjala Community Project. Loving childcare and a comfortable community center make daily life easier for Onjala staff.
