Overview

On this tour you sit back while shuttle transfers take you to Namibia's highlights. From Windhoek you head into the Kalahari with its red dunes, through the Namib to Solitaire and Sossusvlei with Deadvlei, to Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast and via Damaraland to Etosha National Park.

This diverse tour takes you to Namibia's most beautiful highlights, combining breathtaking landscapes with unique wildlife encounters. From the modern capital, Windhoek, the journey begins in the Kalahari, where red dunes, vast grasslands, and fascinating wildlife await. The route then leads through the ancient Namib Desert to Solitaire and the legendary Sossusvlei, where you'll climb the world's highest sand dunes and experience the surreal landscapes of Dead Vlei. In contrast, the cool Atlantic coast offers a different experience: In Swakopmund, you can enjoy colonial charm, a relaxed coastal atmosphere, and numerous optional adventure activities. Afterwards, you'll travel to the wild Damaraland region with its striking rock formations and picturesque landscapes, before the next highlight awaits: Etosha National Park. Here, you'll spend two days on exciting game drives and have the chance to observe elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and many other animals in their natural habitat. Finally, you return to Windhoek – with unforgettable impressions in your luggage: endless deserts, majestic dunes, colonial coastal cities, encounters with wild nature and the warm hospitality of Namibia.

  • Days 2–3
    Kalahari

    Kalahari Anib Lodge, Halbpension

    approx. 3.5 hours

In the morning, you will be transferred from The Weinberg to the departure point for your shuttle transfer. Together with other travelers, you will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to Kalahari Anib Lodge at approximately 7:00 AM. The Kalahari stretches across large parts of Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Its name means "the great thirst"—fitting for the largest continuous sand plain in the world. But this semi-desert impresses not only with its red dunes, acacia trees, and shimmering golden grasses, but also with its fascinating wildlife. Here you can observe gemsbok, impala, jackals, cheetahs, and, of course, the famous meerkats. Furthermore, the Kalahari is home to the indigenous San people, who have lived in this region for centuries as hunter-gatherers. A special highlight awaits you on the third day: a roughly 3-hour sundowner drive (included in the price). In an open-top 4x4, you'll traverse the dune landscape and enjoy breathtaking views at sunset. Snacks and selected drinks are also provided – a perfect end to this eventful day!
