Overview
On this guided hiking trip you experience Namibia's most beautiful landscapes actively. From the Waterberg Plateau you head for game drives in Etosha National Park, to the Ugab Terraces with the Finger Rock and into the Erongo Mountains with San rock paintings, then on to Swakopmund and the Namib Desert.
This tour takes you to Namibia's most beautiful landscapes and fascinating sights. Right from the start, you'll experience the lush green Waterberg Plateau, before heading to the world-famous Etosha National Park where you'll spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even rhinos on game drives. Afterwards, you'll explore the vast plains of the Ugab Terraces with their striking Finger Rock, and the mysterious Erongo Mountains with their ancient San rock paintings. On the Atlantic coast, you'll discover Swakopmund, a charming coastal town with colonial flair, and hike through the surreal "lunar landscape" where the unique Welwitschia plant has survived for centuries. A particular highlight is the Namib Desert: you'll climb dunes far from the tourist crowds, visit the famous Deadvlei with its gnarled, centuries-old camel thorn trees, and explore the Sesriem Canyon. Besides the impressive natural experiences, you'll enjoy spectacular sunsets, refreshing breaks in pools or rock pools, and the warm hospitality in charming lodges, guesthouses, and bush camps. Varied hikes—some short and leisurely, others more challenging—let you experience nature up close and offer breathtaking views at every turn. This journey combines all the diversity of Namibia: wild animals, endless expanses, mighty deserts, rugged mountains and the cool breeze of the Atlantic – a perfect combination of safari, hiking and enjoyment.

Culture / nature
Pure nature
This trip is designed for nature and hiking enthusiasts who want to experience Namibia actively and up close. A basic level of fitness is sufficient, as the hikes range from 3 to 12 kilometers and do not require any alpine terrain. The focus is on consciously enjoying the landscape – hiking times are usually between 1 and 4 hours, occasionally with minor elevation changes.
Participants should enjoy the combination of hiking and safari and be prepared to adapt to changing conditions. The trails sometimes lead across unpaved terrain, through dunes, or over rocks, but only require sure-footedness; no special mountaineering experience is necessary. A degree of flexibility is helpful, as distances in Namibia are vast and travel between regions is part of the experience.
Accommodation is in authentic lodges, guesthouses, and camps that combine comfort with proximity to nature. A sense of shared experiences, openness to Namibian culture, and composure in the face of minor challenges along the way are crucial to the success of the trip.
