Nature-led
This trip is aimed at active and physically fit touring cyclists. A mountain bike is required for the excursion, as we will be traveling mainly on gravel roads, paved roads, and occasionally on challenging singletrack.
Our route takes you along quiet paved roads, country lanes, and gravel paths. Daily stages average 50 km; the longest is 80 km. You'll reach a maximum altitude of 2540 m by bike.
Don't worry: our tours are designed so that, even at a moderate pace, you'll arrive in time for dinner. And if it gets too tiring, you can always hop in the support vehicle. It's not about breaking records here; there's always plenty of time to stop for photos and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
After the cycling stages, the second part of your adventure begins: a multi-day hike from the Kemin Valley to Lake Issyk-Kul. You'll trek through stunning high-mountain landscapes, reaching a maximum altitude of 3,540 meters. Each day's stage covers up to 20 kilometers and 1,000 meters of elevation gain.

RequestNotes on the trip
Kyrgyzstan's infrastructure
Kyrgyzstan has underdeveloped infrastructure and roads are often in poor condition. Weather conditions can make some sections of the route temporarily impassable, requiring itinerary changes. The program described above is the ideal option and has been designed to offer you the best possible experience. Our travel dates are carefully coordinated with the region's generally favorable weather conditions at this time of year to guarantee a safe and unforgettable experience.
Climate of Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan is characterized by a dry continental climate with marked temperature fluctuations. While summer heat, with temperatures reaching up to 45 °C, is not uncommon in the south of the country, winter temperatures often drop below -10 °C, even in the lower-lying regions. Sunny weather prevails during July, August, and September; with an average of 250 sunny days a year, Kyrgyzstan offers ideal conditions for outdoor activities. During this period, daytime highs reach 35°C in Bishkek, approximately 30°C at Lake Issyk-Kul, and a pleasant 15°C at Lake Son-Kul. However, nights are considerably cooler, especially in higher altitude areas, and even in summer, temperatures in the high mountains can drop to near freezing.
