Overview

In a small group of up to 12 guests you experience Botswana’s highlights: rhinos at Khama Rhino Sanctuary, the Okavango Delta by mokoro with two nights under canvas, Moremi Game Reserve, the Makgadikgadi salt pans, Chobe National Park and finally Victoria Falls.

Join us on a unique Botswana safari to the country's absolute highlights – including an unforgettable side trip to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Experience a breathtaking mokoro boat trip through the Okavango Delta, two authentic nights camping in the heart of the delta, and exciting game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. And that's just the beginning. This authentic Botswana safari offers a perfect blend of overnight stays in the wilderness, immersed in nature, and comfortable lodges. This allows you to experience unspoiled Africa without sacrificing modern comforts. Active participation from all travelers is an essential part of this Botswana safari. From carrying your own luggage and helping pack the vehicle in the morning to assisting with everyday tasks – everything is part of this unique African adventure. On days when the guides take care of meals, assistance (on a rotating basis), for example with washing up, is expressly welcome. You'll travel in a small group of no more than twelve participants, on German-speaking dates, with experienced, highly trained tour guides, in a safari truck and an open 4x4 jeep. In the Okavango Delta, you can expect mokoro boat trips and safari walks, in the Moremi Game Reserve game drives, and in Chobe National Park safaris on land and water, before experiencing exciting activities at Victoria Falls. This shared experience transforms your Botswana safari into a true, authentic overland adventure, allowing you to experience Africa intensely, up close and in its purest form.

  • Days 3–4
    Okavango Delta

    Camping

You'll travel to the world-famous Okavango Delta to your wild and romantic campsite in the heart of the world's largest inland delta. First, you'll travel by safari jeep to the delta's edge, where you'll transfer to a mokoro (dugout canoe). The stunning natural landscape has much to offer: numerous lechwe antelopes, buffalo, elephants, and with a bit of luck, even kingfishers, as well as many other bird species. One of the most incredible experiences you can have in the Okavango Delta is to drift slowly along the reed-lined channels in a mokoro, steered by a local driver. Sit back, relax, and listen to the gentle lapping of the water and the driver's fascinating explanations about the flora and fauna. Accommodation: Pre-erected tents in the breathtaking wilderness: Two nights will be spent in pre-erected tents in the Okavango Delta. Each tent has two camp beds with linens and a chemical toilet. Shared bucket showers (hot or cold water) will be set up by the team. The tents have mosquito nets. We bring our own drinking water and equipment. Wild camping is a true delight, and the only traces we leave behind are our footprints.

    approx. 320 km

We have time for an optional flight over the Okavango Delta before continuing on to Nata. The shimmering salt pans of Makgadikgadi appear to the observer as an endless, dazzlingly bright plain.
