The mighty Alerce trees are particularly impressive; some are up to 3,000 years old, making them among the oldest trees on Earth. During a well-deserved break, you enjoy your packed lunch amidst this pristine landscape. Refreshed, you continue your hike and discover more hidden corners of the park before returning to Puerto Varas in the late afternoon. (F/P)
