Overview
This compact programme is for paddlers who feel most at home in moving water. Around Kluane National Park you run class 2+ to 3 rivers, then head north to the Lapie River. Nights are spent in tents – advanced canoeing skills are required.
Three of the Yukon's most beautiful whitewater rivers in just one week – this compact program is perfect for anyone who feels most comfortable in moving water or wants to specifically improve their paddling technique. Depending on the time of year, you'll paddle on the Wheaton, the Kathleen, or the famous Tatshenshini River, nestled amidst the spectacular mountain scenery surrounding Kluane National Park. Afterwards, you'll head north to the Lapie River, where an action-packed day of paddling awaits, exploring the river's best stretches. You'll be accompanied by experienced, local canoe guides who will share plenty of new knowledge for future river adventures. Finally, you'll explore Whitehorse aboard the paddle steamer SS Klondike and visit Miles Canyon.
