Overview
From Whitehorse you spend a full day on a snowmobile, then travel through the snowy Northern Rockies to Northern Rockies Lodge on Muncho Lake. Snowshoeing on the lake, ice skating or a scenic flight, the frozen Smith River Falls and a soak in Liard Hot Springs.
A week-long winter adventure along the world-famous Alaska Highway: This journey takes you from Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon, to Fort St. John in northern British Columbia – right through the snow-covered Northern Rockies. In Whitehorse, you'll spend a full day snowmobiling through the winter landscape and visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. Afterwards, the Northern Rockies Lodge awaits you at the remote Muncho Lake, where you'll spend three nights: snowshoeing on the frozen lake, ice skating, a snowmobile tour, or a scenic flight over the mountains – the choice is yours. The highlight is a trip to the frozen Smith River Falls and a dip in the steaming Liard Hot Springs. In the evenings, good food, a campfire atmosphere, and, with a bit of luck, dancing Northern Lights ensure unforgettable moments.

Culture / nature
Pure nature
No special fitness level or prior experience is required for this winter trip. The full-day snowmobile tour is also suitable for beginners – instruction is provided on site. At Muncho Lake, you can choose between a more active experience (snowshoeing, ice skating, snowmobiling) or a more relaxed one. From January to March, temperatures in the north often range from -20°C to -40°C. Good, warm winter clothing is essential; patience and flexibility are required on the longer driving days along the Alaska Highway, as weather and road conditions can dictate the journey. Traveling in a small, intimate group of 5 to 9 people, you'll experience a truly special journey. Shared dinners at the lodge and hours spent around the campfire foster team spirit and camaraderie.
