Overview

In a small group you travel by maxivan from Whitehorse along the Alaska Highway and the remote Stewart-Cassiar Highway to Smithers and Prince George and back via the Robert Campbell Highway. Turquoise lakes, glaciers, hot springs and often bears, moose and bison by the roadside.

Two weeks on the great wilderness highways of the North: This small group tour takes you from Whitehorse via the Alaska Highway and the remote Stewart-Cassiar Highway deep into the north of British Columbia – and back to the Yukon via the Robert Campbell Highway. Along the way, you'll encounter turquoise lakes, the mighty Bear Glacier, charming towns like Stewart and Smithers, and relaxing soaks in the Liard Hot Springs. The time of year is particularly appealing: in spring, bears, moose, and bison often graze right by the roadside; in autumn, the Indian Summer bursts into vibrant colors, and with a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. You sit back, enjoy the changing landscapes, and keep an eye out for wildlife – your guide takes care of the route, transport, and accommodation. An ideal trip for anyone who wants to discover northern Canada at a relaxed pace and off the beaten track.

    Minimum age

Minimum age 7 years. Children aged 7–11 receive a 50% discount, and young people aged 12–17 receive a 25% discount on the regular travel price.

    Notice

Short-term changes to the itinerary are possible and at the discretion of the guide – weather and road conditions in the far north always take precedence.
