Overview
The island feels like a micro-continent: subtropical landscapes with palms and cacti, flower meadows, pine forests and the enchanted forest of Garajonay. You hike from San Sebastián up Pico de Garajonay, through mountain villages and to Agulo – demanding stages with 300 to 1,000 metres of ascent.
Those who travel to La Gomera will discover not only unparalleled coastlines, but above all, impressive mountain landscapes that define the character of this Canary Island. Mighty ravines and deep valleys stretch to the Atlantic Ocean, allowing us to experience nature in its purest form during our guided hiking tour. The island reveals itself like a microcontinent: we barely have time to wander through subtropical landscapes full of palm trees, agaves, and cacti when flower-filled meadows open up – soon giving way to light pine forests. In the background, bizarre rock formations and ancient volcanic vents rise up. After varied days, we enjoy regional specialties in the evenings, showcasing the island's diversity. La Gomera is a paradise for hikers all year round – perfect for anyone who wants to experience nature in its purest form. Start your journey with us now!

Culture / nature
Nature-led
The hikes on La Gomera are challenging and suitable for those who enjoy varied exercise and experiencing nature. Daily stages traverse steep terrain with an elevation gain of between 300 and 1,000 meters and last approximately three to six and a half hours, including breaks, depending on the route. Surefootedness on narrow paths and a good level of fitness are essential, as the tours involve several ascents and descents and occasionally lead across uneven terrain. The hikes are undertaken with light daypacks; main luggage is transported and available daily, except for the overnight stay at the finca on the eighth day. Those using hiking poles can further facilitate the longer descents. This trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility – rather, it is ideal for active nature lovers who want to experience the wild beauty of La Gomera authentically.

Baggage
Hikes will be undertaken with a light daypack. Our main luggage will be available to us each day. Exception: Overnight stay at the mountain finca in El Cedro on day 8.
Arrival in La Gomera
La Gomera does not have an international airport. Therefore, a trip to La Gomera (both arrival and departure!) requires allowing more time and potentially longer waiting times for necessary transfers involving bus and ferry crossings from Tenerife to La Gomera.
