ARUSHA - LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

    Country Lodge, Vollpension

After breakfast, you'll set off for Lake Manyara National Park – the first highlight of your Tanzanian safari. This protected area encompasses a large part of the soda lake of the same name, which is seasonally populated by huge colonies of flamingos and many other water birds. Along the banks, you can observe elephants, hippos, buffalo, vervet monkeys, banded mongooses, and various species of gazelles and antelopes. The park is particularly famous for its tree-climbing lions – a rare behavior that has now also been observed in other national parks. With a bit of luck, you might spot one of these majestic big cats perched on a branch. After an extensive exploration tour, you leave the national park in the afternoon and drive to your comfortable lodge, where you can relax and end the day.

  • Day 3
LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - NGORONGORO CRATER - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

    Hippo Trails Camp, full board

After breakfast, your Tanzanian journey continues into the highlands. You'll cross the impressive Ngorongoro Conservation Area – an absolute must on any safari. Upon reaching the crater rim, a breathtaking view opens up into the vast caldera of the Ngorongoro Crater. Numerous wild animals roam within this natural wonder, and with a bit of luck, you might spot the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – within just a few hours. The journey then continues into the Serengeti. Even on the way, you'll understand the meaning of the name: "Siringitu" – the Maasai word for "the endless plains." The vast grasslands of the southern Serengeti stretch seemingly endlessly, interrupted only by bizarre rock formations called kopjes – perfect hunting grounds for cheetahs and other big cats. In the late afternoon, you'll reach your camp, where you can relax and unwind.

  • Day 4
    SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

    Hippo Trails Camp, full board

Today is all about unforgettable wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park. You'll spend the entire day on game drives and, depending on the time of year, even have the chance to witness the Great Migration – the impressive natural spectacle where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras migrate across the savanna. During the short rainy season in October and November, the herds migrate from the Kenyan Masai Mara to the southern Serengeti, while after the long rainy season between April and June they head north again. Since the animals' behavior is heavily dependent on rainfall, their route can shift. But don't worry – your experienced guide knows the best spots and will take you where the largest concentrations of animals are expected. After an eventful day on safari, you return to your camp and spend another night there in the heart of the wilderness.
