During whale season, in the morning you set off with your guide on a coastal path to look out for the majestic giants of the sea. If weather and wave conditions allow, you can also join an optional whale-watching boat trip, which is not included in the tour price. Your South Africa trip then takes you along an idyllic coastal road to the country's most renowned wine region around Stellenbosch. On the way you stop at a colony of African penguins and watch these charming birds both on land and playing naturally in the water. Once in Stellenbosch, you first explore the historic little town before visiting a picturesquely located wine estate. Here you have the chance to taste fine wines that have matured to perfection in the oak barrels of the cellar. You enjoy dinner at an excellent restaurant, with costs payable locally.

Day 19
Stellenbosch – Kaphalbinsel
Noordhoek Village Hotel
approx. 60 km, approx. 1 hour
Today's Cape programme features a visit to a characteristic farm, picturesquely located at the foot of the Helderberg. Here you have the opportunity to recover from the longer drives of the previous days and get some exercise. From a panoramic viewpoint your gaze can sweep across the whole of False Bay, and in good weather you can even see as far as majestic Table Mountain and the tip of the Cape. A special surprise is planned for lunch – look forward to it. In the afternoon a special programme item awaits you: a guided visit to the SANCCOB Centre (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) in Table View. The centre is actively committed to protecting endangered seabirds and is supported by us in the field of nature and species conservation. Afterwards the route leads along the picturesque coastal road to the Cape Peninsula and on to Noordhoek. This peaceful, picturesquely located village impresses above all with its wide sandy beach – one of the longest and most magnificent beaches at the Cape. A beach walk here is more than recommended!

approx. 60 km, approx. 1 hour
After breakfast you set off with your tour guide on an excursion to the Cape of Good Hope. After an unforgettable journey through South Africa, it's now time to say goodbye to your guide. Totsiens – here's to seeing you again in Africa!
