Hwange National Park – Zimbabwe
Bomani Tented Lodge
Welcome to your exciting Botswana and Zimbabwe safari! After your arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, your adventure begins with a short light aircraft flight to Hwange National Park, where your lodge awaits. Bomani Lodge is located in the Ngamo Forest area, a 5,000-hectare private concession just minutes from the park entrance. The landscape was formed from the remnants of a dried-up lake, now characterized by Kalahari sand and scattered water pans. Numerous herds of animals find ideal living conditions among the ilala palms and open grasslands. Bomani Lodge offers its guests ten comfortable luxury tents and an exclusive bungalow. Some tents are built on raised wooden platforms, offering sweeping views across the savannah, while others are at ground level, providing an even closer connection to nature. All accommodations feature a private bathroom, hot water, and electricity. The central area, with its bar, lounge, and open-air dining area, is built on a large viewing deck overlooking the Bomani Pan – a perfect spot for enjoying wildlife viewing directly from the lodge. During your stay you can expect a variety of activities: day and night game drives, walking safaris accompanied by experienced guides, birdwatching, full-day excursions through Hwange National Park and a visit to a village that will give you insights into the local culture. Hwange National Park, covering approximately 14,650 square kilometers, is Zimbabwe's largest national park and lies just an hour from the world-famous Victoria Falls. Named after a Nhanzwa tribal chief, it borders Botswana to the west, making it an important link on any Botswana or Zimbabwe safari. Hwange is particularly renowned for its elephants: with around 35,000 animals, it is home to one of the largest elephant populations in the world. During the dry season, the herds gather at the numerous waterholes, offering unique wildlife viewing opportunities. Besides elephants, the park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo, various antelope species, zebras, giraffes, baboons, and warthogs. This makes Hwange National Park an indispensable highlight of your safari, combining impressive wildlife encounters with authentic lodge experiences – a perfect start to your journey through Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Ngoma / Chobe National Park
Chobe Elephant Camp
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Chobe Elephant Camp by shared road. Perched high on the edge of a rocky hill, the lodge offers spectacular views of the famous Chobe River and the vast floodplains of the surrounding countryside. The accommodation is renowned not only for its stunning location but also for its unique design: it was built entirely from sandbags. The thick, sand-filled walls provide natural insulation against the heat of the day and the coolness of the night, while also giving the lodge an authentic farmhouse feel. The camp offers ten comfortable guest rooms as well as a family room that can accommodate up to 24 people. The design combines sustainability with rustic charm, creating a place where guests can relax after exciting days on safari. The activities on offer are diverse: On game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, you'll experience the wildlife of Chobe National Park up close, while boat trips on the Chobe River provide unforgettable encounters with herds of elephants, hippos, and crocodiles. Tranquil canoe excursions of up to two and a half hours (depending on water levels) offer a completely new perspective on the river landscapes. Village visits and birdwatching excursions round out the program, providing a wide range of safari experiences. All meals, local drinks, activities, laundry service, and park fees are included in the price. Kasane and the Chobe River – Gateway to the National Park Kasane, the small town on the banks of the Chobe River, is the administrative center of the district and the main supply point for travelers in and around Chobe National Park. Just ten minutes from the park entrance, Kasane offers a selection of accommodations along the river. It's not uncommon to encounter elephants, buffalo, or warthogs wandering the streets. Chobe National Park is considered one of the highlights of any Botswana safari. Thanks to the Chobe River, which flows year-round, countless animals congregate along its banks. Especially during the dry season from May to October, when the river becomes the only water source, you can observe huge herds of elephants and buffalo, as well as predators and rare antelope species such as sable and roan antelope. In the rainy season, on the other hand, the animals disperse throughout the park, while the landscape bursts into lush green and an impressive variety of birdlife can be seen. The region around Kasane is well-developed for tourism, yet exceptionally beautiful. Sunsets over the Chobe River are among the most impressive moments of a trip through Botswana and an unforgettable experience during your Botswana and Zimbabwe safari.
