Overview
On foot and by mountain bike you travel from Villa de Leyva into the Andean highlands and the Sierra Cocuy, then down into the Chicamocha Canyon. On the trek to Ciudad Perdida you reach the Lost City in the rainforest, with Tayrona National Park and Cartagena to finish.
A true adventure awaits you, perfect for active, nature-loving explorers. On foot and by mountain bike, you'll climb to dizzying heights and descend into deep canyons. In Ciudad Perdida (Lost City), you'll experience one of Colombia's archaeological highlights. Finally, you can relax on the stunning Caribbean coast – a well-deserved reward after all your efforts. Your goal: to experience the diverse flora and fauna of various vegetation zones, the culture and traditions of the population, and the special lifestyle of the Caribbean up close. Colombia is still largely untouched by mass tourism – so patience and adaptability to the South American mentality are essential. This expedition demands flexibility, tolerance, and self-motivation. Sometimes things don't go as planned – but it's precisely these moments that make your trip unforgettable. You'll stay in small, sometimes colonial-style hotels in the cities, as well as in cozy lodges inland and on unspoiled Caribbean beaches. During trekking days, you'll sleep in huts or hammocks – perfect for experiencing the diverse natural landscapes. Thanks to good acclimatization, you can also hike in the high-altitude Cocuy National Park. On foot, by mountain bike, by boat, and via private transfers, you'll explore a country nestled between the Andes, the subtropics, and the Caribbean.
