Overview
On this tour with a maximum of twelve guests you experience the thundering Victoria Falls with a scenic flight, the elephant herds of Chobe National Park, the Makgadikgadi salt pans and the wildlife-rich Okavango Delta with the Moremi Game Reserve. To finish, you relax at the Onjala Lodge near Windhoek.
The beginning is breathtaking. Ten million liters of water per second in free fall. Thunderous smoke, the locals say. At the end, in the wonderful Onjala Lodge, only your heart beats from the elephant herds in Chobe National Park, the Okavango Delta's refuge of animals and plants, the mirage in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, and the San people in the Kalahari Desert. But with every treatment at the Onjala ZenSations Spa, the beating transforms into a tranquil rhythm of bliss. Look forward to endless wildlife encounters in the Okavango Delta, safaris by 4x4, boat, and on foot, and the unique Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. You'll experience Victoria Falls up close, meet the San people in the Kalahari, and finally relax at the Onjala Lodge. Aren't they adorable when they stand on their hind legs and attentively study their surroundings? Meerkats aren't among the biggest or most spectacular animals you'll see on your trip, but their busy nature quickly wins us over.

Day 3
Natural spectacle Victoria Falls
Ilala Lodge
The adventure begins at the legendary Victoria Falls, where you'll witness the Zambezi River plunge over 100 meters into the depths with a thunderous roar. A circular hiking trail offers ever-changing perspectives and photo opportunities. The spray of water shoots up to 200 meters into the air and can be seen from afar. You will stay in the same accommodation as the previous day.

Chobe National Park
Chobe Bush Lodge
Early in the morning, an open-sided safari in a 4x4 vehicle offers a particularly close encounter with animals that don't often venture directly to the river. With a bit of luck, you might spot herds of buffalo and elephants, as well as lions and other big cats that prefer to lurk in the shade of the bushes. In the afternoon, a three-hour boat trip is on the agenda. Thanks to the open river landscape, you'll likely see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of antelopes that congregate along the Chobe River. A truly special spectacle: watching elephants bathe in the river, accompanied by a diverse array of birdsong and the distinctive call of the African fish eagle. Breakfast is included in the price. Other international guests may also be participating in the safaris in Chobe National Park besides you. You will stay in the same accommodation as the previous day.

Day 6
From the Chobe to the salt pans
Marula Tree Lodge
approx. 430 km
Enjoy another morning at Chobe National Park before heading towards Gweta. At the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, a landscape unfolds that impresses with its clarity and scale – endless, bright expanses stretching to the horizon like a moon-like plain, interrupted only by scattered patches of vegetation. In this stark scenery, the mighty baobab trees stand out particularly impressively. These iconic trees are considered symbols of untouched nature and are deeply rooted in African mythology. One legend says they are planted upside down in the earth, as if their roots were reaching for the sky. Nestled amidst this breathtaking setting is Marula Tented Lodge – a surprisingly verdant oasis in an otherwise arid region. Surrounded by ancient baobabs and the namesake marula trees, the camp provides an atmospheric base from which to explore this unique wilderness. Nestled in small, fertile patches of vegetation, mopane and acacia trees provide welcome shade and create a contrast to the open expanse of the salt pans. The included meals today are breakfast and dinner. Day 8
Wild Africa
Gomoti River Lodge
approx. 340 km
Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta! Here, modern shopping centers stand right next to mud huts; cattle and goats lie on traffic islands or wander the streets. Along the way, you'll visit the Shorobe basket-weaving cooperative. This project currently supports 43 female artisans, enabling them to earn a living and gain a degree of independence through this traditional craft. You'll learn directly from the women themselves which materials are used for the baskets and how much time and work is required for each unique piece, as they introduce you to the ancient production methods. The journey continues through rugged terrain to the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve, considered one of the most beautiful and exciting nature reserves in the world. Your accommodation is nearby. From now on, wildlife encounters will be a daily occurrence. There's not a soul in sight around your accommodation – pure natural idyll! The day ends with a delicious dinner. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Gomoti River Lodge: Located in the Okavango Delta, on the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve, Gomoti River Lodge offers comfortable en-suite tented cabins built on raised wooden platforms along the banks of a lagoon formed by the Gomoti River. This lagoon and the adjacent floodplain carry water seasonally, transforming into lush green meadows or dry savannah depending on the time of year. From your veranda, you'll have views across the seasonally flooded river area or out into the bushveld, where elephants and antelopes are frequent visitors. In the mornings, as nature awakens, you'll be delighted by the excited chirping of birds, and in the evenings, you can enjoy relaxing hours around the campfire on the sundowner deck.

Day 10
Safari in Delta
Gomoti River Lodge
In the early morning, you'll embark on a safari in an open 4x4 vehicle through private reserves just outside the southern entrance of the Moremi Game Reserve. Here, there are no fences – the animals roam freely, just as they always have. With a bit of luck, you might spot elephants on their way to water, lions in the first light of day, or shy antelopes in the tall grass. A delicious lunch provides ample time to reflect on the morning's experiences, always with a view of the surrounding nature. In the afternoon, you have a choice: For those who want to experience the delta from a truly unique perspective, a 30-minute helicopter tour over parts of the Okavango Delta is available. Flying over savannas, islands, and the intricate network of waterways, a breathtaking panorama of this unique landscape unfolds before you. Or you can take it easy, enjoy your time at the lodge, and simply observe the wildlife. They often even reveal themselves directly from the veranda – an elephant in the shade of the trees, the birds by the water, or antelopes on their way through the bushland. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price. You will stay in the same accommodation as the previous day.

Nevertheless, numerous plant and animal species thrive here. Shortly before Ghanzi, where many San people live, you'll reach your accommodation. The San culture is considered one of the oldest in the world. Some of them will accompany you on a walk in the afternoon and give you insights into their ancient traditions. You'll be initiated into the art of tracking and learn how to find special plants in the Kalahari and what medicinal properties they possess. Breakfast and dinner are included. Symponia Guesthouse: The Symponia Guesthouse is located approximately 7 kilometers outside of Ghanzi, the so-called "capital of the Kalahari." This small but charming, owner-operated guesthouse focuses on service and a welcoming, family atmosphere. You will stay in one of eight spacious rooms spread across several semi-detached houses. The main building houses the reception and the restaurant with a terrace.
