The Yukon winter in a compact form: On this comfortable adventure you stay four nights in Whitehorse and start from there to the most beautiful winter activities in the north – also ideal for a long weekend. You'll ride a snowmobile through glittering winter landscapes, grill sausages over a campfire, and try your luck at ice fishing. In the Kluane region, you'll trek on snowshoes to the mountains surrounding Kathleen Lake, with the majestic St. Elias Mountains towering above you. On a nighttime snowmobile tour, you'll search for the dancing Northern Lights. The highlight is the dog sled ride: You feel the energy of the huskies and learn why sled dogs are still an integral part of Yukon culture – from the daily life of trappers to races like the Yukon Quest.

This program is ideal for winter sports beginners and anyone who wants to try as many typical northern activities as possible while staying in comfortable hotel accommodations. No prior experience is necessary; a basic level of fitness is sufficient for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and dog sledding. During the Yukon winter, temperatures often range between -20°C and -40°C. It gets especially cold during the nighttime snowmobile ride and while waiting for the Northern Lights – good winter clothing is therefore essential; on the day of arrival, we will check together to make sure your gear fits. With 3 to 7 participants, the group is small and personal. A love of outdoor exercise, camaraderie around the campfire, and a sense of adventure are the best companions.
