Overview
From Fort St. John, the oldest European settlement in British Columbia, you travel through the deep-snow Northern Rockies to the lodge on Muncho Lake. Snowshoes, ice skating or a scenic flight, frozen waterfalls and hot springs – and to finish, a snowmobile day in Whitehorse.
A week-long winter adventure along the world-famous Alaska Highway: This journey begins in Fort St. John, the oldest European settlement in British Columbia, and takes you through the snow-covered Northern Rockies to Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon. You'll spend three nights at the Northern Rockies Lodge on the remote Muncho Lake: snowshoeing on the frozen lake, ice skating, a snowmobile tour, or a scenic flight over the mountains – the choice is yours. An excursion takes you to the frozen Smith River Falls and the steaming Liard Hot Springs. In Whitehorse, a full-day snowmobile adventure and a visit to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve await you to round off your trip. In the evening, delicious food, a campfire atmosphere, and, with a bit of luck, dancing Northern Lights will create unforgettable moments.

Culture / nature
Pure nature
No special fitness level or prior experience is required for this winter trip. The full-day snowmobile tour is also suitable for beginners – instruction is provided on site. At Muncho Lake, you can choose between a more active experience (snowshoeing, ice skating, snowmobiling) or a more relaxed one. From January to March, temperatures in the north often range from -20°C to -40°C. Good, warm winter clothing is essential; patience and flexibility are required on the longer driving days along the Alaska Highway, as weather and road conditions can dictate the journey. Traveling in a small, intimate group of 5 to 9 people, you'll experience a truly special journey. Shared dinners at the lodge and hours spent around the campfire foster team spirit and camaraderie.
