Day 2
Winter hiking at the foot of the Nordkette mountain range
Wellness hotel near Innsbruck, half board
approx. 450–500 m ascent, approx. 3.5–4 hrs.
The day begins at the Golden Roof in the heart of the historic city center. We walk out of the city and up towards the Nordkette mountain range. The path remains easily walkable throughout – through varied landscapes, tranquil forests, and open clearings, we steadily climb, enjoying views of the city and the surrounding peaks. High above Innsbruck, we are rewarded with a rustic mountain hut atmosphere, Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake), and soup. In the afternoon there is time to discover the vibrant old town with its alleys, cafes and the Imperial Palace at your leisure, or to put your feet up in the hotel's own wellness area.

Day 3
Winter hiking on the Olympic mountain Patscherkofel
Wellness hotel near Innsbruck, half board
Winter hike from the Patscherkofel cable car mountain station: approx. 300–550 m elevation gain, approx. 3–4 hours, easy to moderate
The Patscherkofel cable car takes you up to the mountain station at almost 2,000 m – meaning the entire hiking day is already in a high-alpine and snow-sure environment, regardless of the snow conditions in the valley. From the mountain station, several well-marked, technically easy winter hiking trails are available, which can be spontaneously lengthened or shortened depending on your fitness level and preferences after consulting with your mountain guide – for example, towards the summit at 2,248 m or on the Zirbenweg trail heading east. Following the route of the Winter Olympics, sweeping views across the Inn Valley and the surrounding peaks repeatedly unfold. The summit lodge right next to the mountain station is open year-round and reliably provides a cozy mountain hut atmosphere and a well-deserved Kaiserschmarrn, regardless of which route you ultimately choose.
