  • Days 4–5
    Svolvaer

    Hotel in Svolvaer

Take the time to explore Svolvær and the surrounding area. One day, a RIB boat trip into the Trollfjord is on the agenda! As you glide across the water, you'll have the chance to spot white-tailed eagles. Near Svolvær lies Henningsvær, a natural harbor nestled among several islands with steep mountains as a backdrop. Although it's a small village, there's plenty to discover. If you're drawn to nature, there are several hiking destinations within easy reach. A visit to the Viking Museum in Borg on Vestvågøy is also worthwhile; it was built on the site of a former Viking chieftain's home. In the southwest, visit Moskenes, Å, and the beautiful Reine. This village nestles around the small Kirkefjord. The sheltered, tranquil fjord and the steep mountains on either side create a unique atmosphere. The northern side of the Lofoten Islands is more barren, but it boasts fantastic sandy beaches, such as those in Ramberg. In the northeast of Leknes is Borg with the well-known Viking museum.
